APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When deploying a virtual system pattern the active and standby
components do not always use the same group id for the mqbrkrs
    group.
This can cause one of the nodes to be unable to access the
shared file system meaning that the HA deployment does not
    succeed.

Local fix

  • Manually adjust the gids after executing the pattern

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus Pattern for PureApplication
    v10.

    Platforms affected:
    AIX, Linux on x86-64 platform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When deploying a pattern which contains a multi-instance
integration node it is possible for different nodes to end up
with the mqbrkrs group being created with different gids. This
causes failover to not work correctly.

Problem conclusion

  • The Advance Integration Node pattern has been updated to allow
the user to specify the group id of the mqbrkrs group. This
should be the same on all instances of a multi-instance
    integration node.

Additionally a new property has been added allowing the user id
to run the integration server under. This id must have been
created by an earlier script package in the stack at the time
the Advanced Integration Node components is configured.
