Error description

  • There are several complex maps that make extensive use of
Extended Rules code. They have noticed that once you reach
65536 characters of Extended Rule code on a signle field it
is not possible to add more Exended Rules code in the dialogue
    box.

Local fix

  • The Workaround is to save the map to a *.mxl format.
You can then open the *.mxl file with a Text Editor.
You can find the Extended rule code and add as much logic as
you want on the same field.
You can Save the *.mxl file with the Text Editor. You can then
open the *.mxl file with the Map Editor and view the Extened
Rule code, including the additional logic that was added in the
    text editor.
You can Compile the map to a *.txo object it compiles with no
    errors.
You can then Check in the *.mxl and *.txo files into Sterling
Integrator and execute them with the Translation Service.
The translation works fine and the code added after 65 536
characters is well executed by the Translation Service.

This is only a user interface issue in the MAp Editor but has
no impact for translation at runtime.
