Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    This issue affects users of:

    - The IBM MQ v8.0.0

who are on Linux x86 platform.

    Platforms affected:
Linux on x86, Linux on x86-64

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The link argument "-mt" is not a valid argument for the Linux
    "gcc" compiler.

The option was however specified in error in the MQ supplied
Makefile for compiling the switch load files, used by the MQ
Classes for Java to permit the use of the queue manager as an XA
coordinator for work involving a database.

This argument resulted in an error message when the Makefile was
    used to compile the libraries.

Problem conclusion

  • The "-mt" link option has been removed from the Linux x86
Makefile for XA switch load files.
