APAR status

Error description

  • When a broker has a large number of message flows or
    applications deployed to many integration servers, it is
    possible that attempting to attach a policy to a message flow or
    application will take longer than the 10 seconds timeout
    hardcoded in the IBM Integration Bus v9.0 WebUI. This will
    result in the policy being unable to be attached using the
    WebUI.

    All users of IBM Integration Bus v9.0 using the web user
    interface (WebUI) to attach policies to deployed message flows
    or applications.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When a node has a large number of message flows or applications
    deployed to a large number of integration servers, it likely to
    be busier with administration requests and therefore respond
    more slowly to requests. As such it is possible that when a
    request for a list of policies is made by the web user interface
    (WebUI) when attempting to attach a policy to a message flow or
    application, it will take longer than the 10 seconds timeout
    hardcoded in the IBM Integration Bus v9.0 WebUI to respond,
    resulting in the policy being unable to be attached using the
    WebUI.

Problem conclusion

  • The timeout value for the node to respond to the request for
    policy content on the web user interface has been increased to
    30 seconds.
