Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus v10.0 using an MQInput node.

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
In IBM Integration Bus (IIB) v10.0 the MQInput node uses a
connector to retrieve the messages from the input queue. This
connector uses the MQCTL call and then receives an MQCB callback
    from MQ.

If any exception occurs in IIB during this MQCB, the exception
cannot be thrown back past MQ. As such the connector has to
cache the exception and then rethrow it when control returns
back to the IIB processing prior to the MQCTL call.

A defect exists such that the existing cached exception was not
deleted before the new one was cached. Therefore if a message
flow's MQInput node encounters repeated exceptions then this can
cause a large memory leak in the Integration server.
