APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The default permission given to file created by the FileOutput
    node is enforced by the Operating System based on the
    permissions of the parent folder and the umask of the
    DataFlowEngine process. This APAR allows the flow developer to
    override the permissions by setting the following local
    environment variable:

    LocalEnvironment.Destination.File.PosixPermissions =
    <permissions string>

    Where <permissions string> is a 3 digit octal string with each
    digit representing the owner, group and world permissions using
    the same format as the unix chmod command.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR allows the flow developer to override file permissions
    by setting the following local environment variable:

    LocalEnvironment.Destination.File.PosixPermissions =
    <permissions string>

    Where <permissions string> is a 3 digit octal string with each
    digit representing the owner, group and world permissions using
    the same format as the unix chmod command.
