APAR status

Error description

  • If the integration node's webadmin port is set to the default
    for the protocol (HTTP=80, HTTPS=443) then the browser will
    remove the port from a URL, which stops the WebUI from being
    displayed.

    All users of IBM Integration Bus v10.0 using the web user
    interface (WebUI) with the webadmin port of the integration node
    set to the default for the protocol (HTTP=80, HTTPS=443)

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    An integration node's webadmin port is used in the URL to access
    the web user interface (WebUI). The webadmin port used can be
    changed, as documented in the Knowledge Center:
    http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSMKHH_10.0.0/com.
    ibm.etools.mft.doc/bj23622_.htm.
    
    It is possible to set an integration node's webadmin port to 80
    on the HTTPConnector or 443 for the HTTPSConnector, which
    corresponds to the default HTTP and HTTPS port values. When a
    URL is specified in a browser that contains these default ports,
    the browser removes them from the URL.
    
    The WebUI is dependent on a port number being present in the
    browser URL, so if the WebUI is not passed a port number then a
    defect in the product means the WebUI is not displayed.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been corrected so that if the WebUI is passed a
    URL that does not contain a port number, then depending on the
    protocol of the URL, the default port (HTTP=80, HTTPS=443) is
    assumed.
