    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    An ODBC SELECT statement that contains a sub query with
    parameter markers fails when executed against a SQL Server
    database. The following error is reported:

    BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State 'HY000'; Native Error Code
    '156';
    Error Text '[IBM][ODBC SQL Server Wire Protocol
    driver][Microsoft SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near the keyword
    'SET'.

    The ODBC driver rejects the SQLDescribeParam() call that is used
    to find out the description of the parameter marker, for example
    the datatype.

    There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
    Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

Problem conclusion

  • The product now handles the error and substitutes the values for
    the parameter markers into the statement string before
    re-executing the query.
