APAR status

Error description

  • If you have a flow of the following form

    1. SOAPInput node receives username and password and propagates
    in the Properties tree.

    2. A Transformation node changes the password value
       (IdentitySourcePassword) of Properties tree.

    3. A SOAPRequest node is expected to pick the username and new
password and propagate it in the outgoing message as a basicauth
    header or Ws-Security Username token.

It is observed that SOAPRequest node uses the old password
(incoming password) instead of the new value in the properties
tree. If you change the userid, behaviour is as expected.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If you have a message flow of the following form

    1. SOAPInput node receives username and password and propagates
    it down the flow.
    2. A Transformation node changes the password value
    (IdentitySourcePassword) of Properties tree.
    3. A SOAPRequest node is expected to pick the username and new
password and propagate it in the outgoing message as basicauth
    header or Ws-Security Username token.

It is observed that the SOAPRequest node uses the old password
(incoming password) instead of the new value in the properties
tree. If you change the userid, behaviour is as expected.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

  • The SOAPRequest node no longer fails to pick the correct
password value set in IdentityMappedPassword or
