  • MQ V7.5 queue manager produces Failure Data Capture (FDC)
records indicating:

AMQ6125: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred.

accompanied by:

AMQ7472: Object <QUEUE_NAME>, type queue damaged.

Local fix

  • Restart the queue manager.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A timing window meant that it was possible for insufficient
serialization to be applied when multiple threads were writing
to the log, leading to the inconsistency being reported by the
MQ Logger via the FDC records above.

Problem conclusion

  • MQ code has been modified to ensure appropriate serialization
when writing log records.
