APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Even with Read (+INQ) authority on the integration node (as
documented in topic bp43530_) a user of the web user interface
cannot view the properties of a selected configurable service.

Local fix

  • The problem can be worked around by giving the user write
authority on the integration node (WebSphere MQ permission +PUT
    on the System.Broker.Auth queue).

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus v10.0 with administration
security enabled on the web user interface.

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Configurable services are stored at the integration node
(broker) level. As such when administration security is enabled
a user needs to be given read authority on the integration node
(WebSphere MQ permission +INQ on the System.Broker.Auth queue)
to view configurable services and their properties, as
documented in Knowledge Center topic bp43530_.

A defect exists that even with read (+INQ) authority on the
integration node, a user of the web user interface cannot view
the properties of a selected configurable service.

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been corrected so that a user of the web user
interface can view the properties of a configurable service with
Read(INQ+) authority on the integration node.
