APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If any of the names displayed in the WebUI explorer tree exceed
40 characters they are truncated and hover help will show the
    full name.

When an integration node has many long names that all start with
the same base name, such as a broker schema, this can make it
difficult to identify artifacts in the tree.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of the IBM Integration Bus v10.0 web administration
    user interface (WebUI)

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The web administration user interface (WebUI) explorer tree
shows the deployed hierarchy of an integration node, displaying
integration server, application, library, flow names etc. If
any of these names exceed 40 characters then these artifact
names are truncated and hover help will show the full name.

When an integration node has many long names that all start with
the same base name, such as a broker schema, this can make it
difficult to identify artifacts in the tree.

Problem conclusion

  • The web administration user interface no longer truncates the
    artifact names.

If users wish to revert to the previous behavior, there is an
additional option on the Filter dialog box to turn the 40
    character limit back on.
