Error description

  • A message flow can make use of deployable subflow nodes by
implementing Subflow nodes that use them. User Defined
Properties (UDPs) can be defined on the subflows and as such an
override value can be entered on the Subflow node. It is also
possible to promote the UDPs up through the subflow hierarchy,
such that the value could be overridden when deployed.

Once deployed the UDP value can be changed through the WebUI. A
defect exists such that the changed UDP value will not be given
to any nodes in the subflows that the message flow is using.
This will cause such nodes to see the old value.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus v10.0 updating user defined
properties (UDPs) in the WebUI or using either the REST or
Integration APIs on nodes contained in subflows.

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Once deployed, a user defined property (UDP) value can be
changed through the WebUI or using either the REST or
Integration APIs. A defect exists such that the changed UDP
value will not be given to any nodes in the subflows that a
message flow is using. This will cause such nodes to see the
    old value.

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been changed so that new user defined property
values provided by the WEBUI, REST API or Integration API will
be propagated to those nodes that support user defined
    properties (UDPs).

Also the product has been changed to stop the instance of a
BIP4057I message, which refers to flow design changes, being
incorrectly written to the SYSLOG. Now all BIP4051I messages
will be correctly written to user trace.
