IT16596: SPECTRUM PROTECT SNAPSHOT REMOTE RESTORE MAY FAIL ON FLASHSYSTEMA9000 WITH ERROR FMM18108E

Error description

• An IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot remote restore operation on IBM
  FlashSystem A9000 or A9000R fails if remote mirror relationships
  are configured for the volumes that should be restored.
  The remote restore in such a case fails with the following error
  message:
  05:09:19 FMM6981E Received an error from the adapter:
  FMM18108E The -m xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -x -y -u fcmstg -p ********

  snapshot="TSM_A0IPXO7WLZ_A0IROKCFS0_IROKD2LE_C9035C6000000000001
  348A_1"  XCLI command ends with the VOLUME_HAS_MIRROR return
  code. The following error message was generated by the IBM XIV
  Storage System: Mirror is defined for this volume
  
  This only applies to restore operations on a remote site (site
  B). The backup that should be restored was created on the
  production host (site A). Using a A9000 or A9000R remote mirror
  configuration the snapshot of the source volume was created on
  the remote mirrored A9000 or A9000R running on site B. Spectrum
  Protect Snapshot is configured with the profile parameter
  COPYSERVICES_REMOTE YES in this case.
  

Local fix

• An IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot configuration file on the
  remote site (site B) must be adapted.
  Locate the Spectrum Protect Snapshot configuration file for the
  IBM FlashSystem A9000 or A9000R system in the Spectrum Protect
  Snapshot instance directory. Navigate to the sub-directory
  storageadapters/xiv within the Spectrum Protect Snapshot
  instance directory. Edit the configuration file
  customparameters.cfg
  This file contains the following:
        <PARAMETER>
  	   Name = "RESTORE_ON_EXISTING_MIRROR_MIN_FIRMWARE_VERSION"
  	   Default = "12.0"
     </PARAMETER>
  Change the value for the parameter 'Default' from "12.0" to
  "13.0" and save the changed file.
  After that the remote restore operation can be restarted.

  configuration file on the remote site (site B) must be adapted.
  Locate the Spectrum Protect Snapshot configuration file for the
  IBM FlashSystem A9000 or A9000R system in the Spectrum Protect
  Snapshot instance directory. Navigate to the sub-directory
  storageadapters/xiv within the Spectrum Protect Snapshot
  instance directory. Edit the configuration file
  customparameters.cfg
  This file contains the following:
