IT16483: ADDING A ROLLUP SERVER IN IBM SPECTRUM CONTROL WILL FAIL IF THE SERVER PASSWORD IS LARGER THAN 15 CHARS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• User is unable to add  rollup server because the server password
  is >15 chars long.
  When he tries to add it a generic error SRV085593E is displayed.
  
  Error:

  during Disk Manager service method execution
    com.ibm.tpc.common.api.TPCServerException: SRV085593E Unable
  to connect to repository database.
               This type of error typically indicates that the
               repository database has been shutdown. Please
               ensure that your repository RDBMS is up and
  running.

• Run the following DB2 commands in a DB2 command window:
  db2 connect to TPCDB
  db2 set schema TPC
  db2 "ALTER TABLE T_RES_RU_SLAVE_SERVERS
  ALTER COLUMN PASSWORD SET
  DATA TYPE VARCHAR(125)"
