IT16443: MAP GENERATION FAILS IF TASK TRANSFORM CONNECTED TO DB COLUMN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The generation of a Graphical Data Map can fail with the
  following error being reported if a Database Column has a Task
  transform mapped to it:
  
  The map script generation for QName '<map file>' has failed,
  with the following details: Location: 'Insert table <table>
  column <column>' Internal Error Number:'4'' Error Message:
  'Missing input value'.
  
  This error can occur even if the column is also connected to an
  additional transform, e.g. Move, that does provide a value.
  

Local fix

• The problem can be avoided by removing all Task transforms
  connected to Database column targets.
  

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of IBM Integration Bus v10.0 who use the Mapping node
  with Database Select transform contained in a For each, within a
  mapping overrides group.
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  z/OS, MultiPlatform

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  A Graphical Data Map that is using the Database Insert or Update
  transform and has a Task transform wired as an input to one or
  more of the database column targets can cause a deployment to
  fail with the  following error being reported:
  
  The map script generation for QName '<map file>' has failed,
  with the following details: Location: 'Insert table <table>
  column <column>' Internal Error Number:'4'' Error Message:
  'Missing input value'.
  
  This error can occur even if the column is also connected to an
  additional transform, e.g. Move, that does provide a value.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Graphical Data Map generation is corrected to ensure that
  the Task transform is correctly ignored.
