Error description

  • When using the IBM MQ V8 .NET sample application SimpleXAGet
fails due to the incorrect sequence of transactional calls made
in the sample. An FDC similar to the one below is generated:

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users using MQ .NET XA sample applications supplied with MQ.

    Platforms affected:
    Windows

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The sample program SimpleXAPut.cs and SimpleXAGet.cs shipped
with MQ performed an incorrect sequence of calls that resulted
in an error condition. The sample incorrectly disconnected the
queue manager connection before the transaction was committed or
    rolled back.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem is fixed by altering the sample such that the commit
or rollback actions are performed before the connection is
    disconnected.
