IT15523: GENERATING A DOCUMENT FOR A MESSAGE SET FAILS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Generating a document for a message set fails if the message set
  contains characters which are not in the ASCII character set.
  Characters such as these can be used to format the document
  that is generated.  However, they cause a problem with the
  process
  that ensures the message set contains valid characters and the
  result
  is that the document for the message set is not generated.

  All users of IBM Integration Toolkit v10 who use toolkit to
  generate documents for a message set.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  The Integration Toolkit formats the document that is generated
  for a message set document with a "dot" character that is not in
  the ASCII character set. When validating and checking the
  generated document, this special character causes the generation
  to fail.
  

Problem conclusion

• The product now filters out the "dot" character and is able to
  generate documents for a message set.
