IT15383: DATA NOT DISPLAYING IN OPERATIONS CENTER DUE TO TRUNCATION OF DATA SENT FROM SERVER.

Error description

  • The results of a SQL script that is used for displaying
    data in the Operations Center is being truncated. The
      truncation leads to the an error being displayed in the
      Operations Center that is similar to the following:
        Error occured while making the Web server request.
        JSON.parse: bad control character in string literal
        at line 1 column 282 of the JSON data.
    Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:
      All servers at 7.1.5 and above.
    Customer/L2 Diagnostics (If Applicable)
      Using your Administrative Command Line Client (dsmadmc)
      connect to your HUB server and issue the follow select
      statement:
    
      SELECT * FROM TSMGUI_STATUS_DATA
    
      Go through the results and look for data that appears
      to be truncated around the 2000th character.

      the results being truncated.
