Error description

  • If an MQ appliance administrator requests an appliance reboot,
without specifying a custom delay time, the shutdown delay is
not shown correctly before the appliance
    reboots.

    The following is observed:

    M2000# shutdown reboot
Waiting 90 seconds for the error report to generate.
You have requested a system shutdown :reboot. Do you want to
    continue?
    Yes/No [y/n]: y
System about to reboot in 0 seconds

If no delay is specified, a default delay of 10 seconds is used,
and so the command should show:

System about to reboot in 10 seconds

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The default wait interval for the appliance to reboot after a
'shutdown reboot' command is issued is 10 seconds. However, the
message displayed when the command was issued incorrectly stated
    it was 0 seconds.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ Appliance code has been modified to display the correct
wait interval when the default interval is used.
