APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When debugging a read-only flow file, if the flow file has a
  promoted property from sub flow, and the sub flow is opened,
  debugger loads the sub flow causing the promoted property value
  to be reset. Because the main flow file is read-only, the
  reset value results an access error.
  

Local fix

• Only open main flow file during debug or close properties view.

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of IBM Integration Toolkit debugging a read-only flow
  which has promote property from sub flow.  The project is
  managed by a Source Control Management system such as ClearCase.
  
  
  Platforms affected:

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  If main flow has a promoted property from a sub flow, when
  adding/removing breakpoint in the main flow, the sub flow is
  reloaded and the property value is reset unnecessary.  This
  causes a change in the main flow and if the main flow is marked
  as read only (i.e. it is checked in to the version control), a
  dialog opens to check out the main flow from the Source Control
  Manager.
  

Problem conclusion

• The toolkit now verifies the value set to the property field.
  If the value is the same as current value, there will be no
  change generated and the Source Control Manager will not prompt
  to check out the main flow.
