APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Monitoring Agent for TPC displays both old and new status and
state for the same disk drive
    in TEP console.
For example, the TEP console might show 'Unreachable' and
'Normal' status for the same disk
drive. Additionally, TEP displays "Error" and "OK" state for it.
The old entry is persisted until the retention job deletes it
    (depends on the retention interval
set under Settings->History retention-> Data for missing
resources: default is set to 2 weeks ).
The problem is present in the DISKDRIVE view because it doesn't
    contain the DETECTABLE condition.
This APAR introduces the use of the DETECTABLE field to the
underlying tables to fix this issue.

Local fix

  • Lower the retention interval set under Settings->History
    retention-> Data for missing resources
and upgrade to newest version to fix the root cause.
