Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM Integration Bus V10.0 using MQ nodes with multiple host names. Platforms affected: z/OS, MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When configuring a MQ client connection on the MQ nodes it is possible to specify multiple queue manager host names, comma separated, for high availability purposes. But only a single listener port number can be specified which should be used for all specified host names. However this port number is only being used for the last host name in the list. For all other host names it is defaulting to the MQ default port value of 1414. The MQ client connection to these hosts succeeds only if the MQ listener is running on port 1414. There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. Problem conclusion
The product now uses the configured listener port number for MQ client connections to all the host names specified by the 'Queue manager host name' property. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v10.0 10.0.0.5 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg27006041 If the maintenance level is not yet available, information on its planned availability can be found on: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg27006308 ---------------------------------------------------------------
