APAR status

Error description

  • If an error occurred while processing the request 'Export Port
    Configuration as WebSphere Application Server Plugin', the
    integration node always returns following error message:
    
    '<error>Error creating port_config_WAS_Plugin_File_Name
    </error>'.
    
    But the actual reason for the failure is not included in the
    error message.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM Integration Bus V10.0 using the 'export port
    configuration as WebSphere Application Server Plugin' option in
    the WebAdmin console.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    If an error occurred while processing the request 'Export Port
    Configuration as WebSphere Application Server Plugin', the
    integration node always returns following error message:
    
    '<error>Error creating port_config_WAS_Plugin_File_Name
    </error>'.
    
    The actual reason for the failure is not included in the error
    message making it difficult for you to identify and recover from
    the error situation.
    
    There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
    Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0.  For details

Problem conclusion

  • The product now includes the failure reason in the error message
    generated while processing the 'export port configuration as
    WebSphere Application Server Plugin' request.
