Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users using the MQ Publish Subscribe messaging feature and
subscribing to topic strings that contains wild card characters.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error within the queue manager could cause a comparison
operation to use an incorrect length when comparing 2 internal
values while registering a subscriber. If the incorrect length
caused the comparison to exceed the queue manager's allocated
address space, an access violation error (on the Windows
platform) or SIGSEGV (on UNIX platforms) was reported.

Problem conclusion

  • The affected routine within the MQ queue manager has been
updated to correctly calculate the length for the comparison
    operation when registering a subscriber.
