IT13522: XML SCHEMA TYPES NOT ALWAYS LOADED/AVAILABLE FOR JDEDWARDS AND OTHER ADAPTER NODES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• XML Schemas required for use by the JDEdwards nodes are not
  always processed during deployment, which leads to a situation
  where the types inside those schemas cannot be found during
  runtime. This can lead to error messages such as:
  
  BIP3424E: Message type 'DoSomethingFunction' is not present in
  messageset ''. Message types contained in the message set are:
  ''.
  The problem is observed when the XML Schema files are located
  within a subfolder of an application or library, and not at
  the root of the project.
  
  The problem affects other adapter nodes, including PeopleSoft
  and Siebel.  It does not appear to affect SAP.
  

Local fix

• Move the XML Schema files to the root of the project

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  XML Schemas required for use by the JDEdwards, PeopleSoft, and
  Siebel adapter nodes are not always processed during deployment.
  This can happen if the XML Schemas required by the adapter are
  not in the root of the application or library project. This
  problem can appear as either a deployment or runtime error
  message indicating that the required XML Schema types could not
  be found:
  
  BIP3424E: Message type 'DoSomethingFunction' is not present in
  message set ''. Message types contained in the message set are:
  ''.
  
  The problem does not appear to affect the SAP adapter nodes.

Problem conclusion

• The deploy processing for the JDEdwards, PeopleSoft, and Siebel
  adapter nodes has been modified so that all XML Schemas for the
  adapters are processed during deployment, regardless of their
  location in the application or library.
