IT13374: DELETE OF AUDIT RECORDS ON PUREAPPLICATION FAILS

Error description

• Audit records can be seen on PureApplication System
  by selecting System > Auditing.
  When selecting individual audit records and clicking on "Delete
  All Selected" nothing seems to happen, even after a few minutes.
  
  Review of the internal jobs on the job queue shows a failed
  recordpackagedelete job, and review of the job log shows an
  error:
  
  IllegalArgumentException: object is not an instance of declaring
  class
  
  The detailed steps leading to the failed job are:
  
  . The Audit page shows excessive file system utilization
  . Select a few audit record packages, and press the "Delete
    all selected" button.
  . A confirmation pop up appears; click Delete.
  . Nothing seems to happen, even after a few minutes and several
    refreshes.
  . Select System > Job Queue, selecting also the "Internal Jobs"
    checkbox
  . Find the failed job (recordpackagedelete).
  . Selecting the Job Details, the error is shown:
    IllegalArgumentException: object is not an instance of
    declaring class
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• A missing modifier on a method decaration caused
  this issue to occur.
  

Problem conclusion

• A code fix is being provided in PureApplication System
  version 2.1.2.1 and 2.2.0.0.
