Error description

  • Alert Definitions are reset to defaults by v.5.2.8 upgrade
installer as per the following documentation:

    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS5R93_5.2.8/com.i
    bm.spectrum.sc.doc/fqz0_c_migrating_alerts.html

When upgrading from Tivoli Storage Productivity Center 5.2.7
and earlier to IBM Spectrum Control, all the alert definitions
for performance conditions are automatically migrated. Alert
definitions for non-performance conditions (also referred to as
    configuration alerts) are not migrated.

Investigation is required to restore feature in subsequent
    feature updates.

    RECREATE STEPS:
Upgrade IBM TPC 5.2.x environment to IBM Spectrum Control v5.2.8
    and check pre-configured Alerts.

Local fix

  • Re-configure Alerts as necessary.
