  • A corrupt character causes the AMQ9999 error message to
unnecessarily span 2 lines in Simplified Chinese.
    "
    AMQ9999:
     xxxxx SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN yyyy 182.99.234.100 zzzz
    "

Local fix

  • The change in formatting of the message can be safely ignored.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users running MQ in the Simplified Chinese (zh_CN) locale, who
encounter an abnormal channel end requiring the AMQ9999 message
to be written to the logs

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A translation problem occurred on the AMQ9999 error message,
which meant that an invalid character code was inserted into the
Simplified Chinese message file representing this message,
causing the unnecessary line break to appear.

Problem conclusion

  • The Simplified Chinese translation of the AMQ9999 message has
been corrected to remove this invalid character code.

Please note that it is not guaranteed that all AMQxxxx messages
will be limited to a single line, or that these messages will
continue to be output on a single line, or with the same text,
in future MQ releases or fix packs. If programmatically
analysing the MQ error logs, care must be taken to ensure that
applications are tolerant of this fact.
