APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If an MQ Appliance 8.0.0.4 is boot reflashed with new (clean)
RAID disks, the MQ file systems are not automatically
initialized.
When a user attempts to enter the MQCLI following the reflash
they will be in failsafe mode.

Local fix

  • Issue the MQCLI command 'mqsysinit' to reinitialize the file
systems.

MQ Appliance users who have a replacement RAID disk.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Tthe initialization routines of the MQ appliance did not
correctly handle the scenario where the appliance's disks had
been replaced.

Problem conclusion

  • The initialization routines have been updated to re-initalize
the MQ filesystem following a disk replacement.
