Error description

  • DFDL Parser throws an error while processing an initiator,
    separator or terminator.
    Example error for initiator is:

'CTDP3060E: Initiator 'BEG%WSP+;' not found at offset '0' for
sequence or choice within element '/MSBRECORDS[1]'.'

The error only occurs if the delimiter contains a mixture of
DFDL entities (such as WSP+) and fixed text, and DFDL ignoreCase
    is "yes".

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus v9.0 defining a DFDL delimiter
(initiator, terminator, separator) that is made up of fixed text
(eg "BEG") and one or more DFDL entities (such as "%WSP+;"), and
where DFDL ignoreCase is "yes", and the delimiter contains the
upper-case fixed text (eg, "BEG ").

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The DFDL parser (C) was only checking the lower-case of the
fixed text when performing a case-insensitive match of data
against a delimiter comprising fixed text and DFDL entities.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been updated with a version of the DFDL parser
    (C) which checks lower-case and upper-case when performing a
case-insensitive match of data against a delimiter comprising
    fixed text and DFDL entities.
