IT11979: INTEGRATIONAPI.JAR BEING ADDED TO BAR FILE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The IntegrationAPI.jar file gets added to a BAR file when the
  user physically adds the IntegrationAPI.jar file to a Java
  Compute node project. This causes runtime exceptions.
  

Local fix

• In the Java build path dialog of the Java compute node project,
  add a variable named COMMON_CLASSES for the directory path
  /common/classes, and add a reference to /IntegrationAPI.jar.

  All users of IBM Integration Toolkit who need access to the
  classes in the IntegrationAPI.jar file within the scope of a
  Java Compute node project.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  If you locate the IntegrationAPI.jar file in the product
  directory, and physically place a copy of it in a Java Compute
  node project (or general project) and make a Java Build Path
  reference to the jar, the jar gets included in a BAR file when
  the BAR file is built. This causes runtime exceptions.
  

Problem conclusion

• Java Compute node projects now automatically have a Java build
  path reference to the IntegrationAPI.jar file so that you do not
  need to manually add one:
  COMMON_CLASSES/IntegrationAPI.jar -
  /common/classes/IntegrationAPI.jar
  
  This prevents the jar file from being unwillingly included in a
  BAR file.
