Error description

  • When SOAP nodes are used and if the incoming SOAP message has
CDATA sections, then it is seen that the message propagated out
of SOAP node does not preserve the CDATA section. This occurs
when you use SOAP nodes with WS-Security or WS-Addressing.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus V9.0 and V10.0 using the SOAP
    nodes.

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When using SOAP nodes to process incoming SOAP messages that
have CDATA sections, the CDATA sections are not preserved on
propagation. This occurs when using WS-Security or
    WS-Addressing.

The XML elements containing CDATA are stored in the message tree
with a field type of PCDataField instead of CDataField which can
lead to bitstream serialisation errors on message output.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details
