APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Message flow with Resequence node restore saved event messages
from SYSTEM.BROKER.EDA.EVENTS queue. If this queue contains a
corrupted event message then the restore fails and the node gets
into an infinite loop instead of reporting the error. This loop
leads to high CPU usage and the Execution Group will stop
    responding to mqsi commands.

Local fix

  • Remove the corrupted message from SYSTEM.BROKER.EDA.EVENTS queue

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Message flow with Resequence node restore saved event messages
from SYSTEM.BROKER.EDA.EVENTS queue. If this queue contains a
corrupted event message then the restore fails and the node gets
into an infinite loop instead of reporting the error. This
infinite loop leads to high CPU usage and the Execution Group
will stop responding to mqsi commands.

There are a number of resource name changes between WebSphere
Message Broker and IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0. For details

Problem conclusion

  • The product now throws a BIP2111E error if the restore of saved
event messages fail, and does not result in an infinite loop.
