Error description

• If a Message Broker Toolkit v7 *.msgmap references the ESQL
  library function "coalesce", using the map conversion tool, the
  coalesce function is converted to a Custom XPath transform in
  *.map. Under some circumstances, the converted XPath expression
  may give a runtime exception "IXJXE0602E: [ERR 0541][ERR
  XPTY0004] For function
  '{http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions}nilled', the static
  type of the argument '$ComIbmEsqlCoalesceItem' at index 1 does
  not match the expected type 'node()?'."

  The XPath expression in the Custom XPath transform for the
  esql:coalesce function may result in a runtime exception when
  encountering certain arguments of the esql:coalesce.
  
  The runtime exception is: "IXJXE0602E: [ERR 0541][ERR XPTY0004]
  For function
  '{http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions}nilled', the static
  type of the argument '$ComIbmEsqlCoalesceItem' at index 1 does

Problem conclusion

• The msgmap conversion function now converts to a different XPath
  expression to avoid the runtime exception.
