    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Two problems were causing the first time initilisation of the
Java classes within the JVM to take a great deal longer than
they did at WebSphere MQ 7.1. The Advanced Message Security
(AMS) classes were always loaded, even when AMS was functionally
disabled. The thread name of the Remote Receive Thread was also
set to a value which included stateful information which was
complex to calculate. This stateful information added nothing to
the description as it was only set during thread initilisation.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified to avoid loading the AMS libraries
when AMS is functionally disabled, and to remove the stateful
information from the Remote Receive Thread thread name. These
changes bring the first time initilisation of the Java classes
within the JVM to a value much closer to that in WebSphere MQ
    7.1.
