Error description

• When including more than 50 SQL databases int a single VSS
  backup, Tivoli Storage Manager for Databases: Data Protection
  for Microsoft SQL Server pops up the following warning
  message:

  More than 50 databases are selected for the VSS backup.
  The operation might fail due to Microsoft's limitation.

  According to the information provided by Microsoft, there is not
  a fixed limit for SQL server 2012 & above. However there still
  has a certain max threads usage issue for VSS backup, so this
  pop-up message should be updated with a big reasonable number
  for SQL server 2012 & above.

Problem conclusion

• It has been determined that there is not a fixed limit of the
  number of Microsoft SQL 2012 databases that can be backed up at
  one time. However, there are limitations associated with VSS
  backup. These limitations are not a fixed number but based on a
  formula related to resource consumption. Therefore, Tivoli
  Storage FlashCopy Manager for Microsoft SQL Server  and Tivoli
  Storage Manager for Databases: Data Protection for Microsoft SQL
  Server have changed pop-up message from:
