APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Configuring TPC to have high retention settings will eventually
  cause tablespace "TPCTBSPPM" (ID "4") of TPCDB
   to consume its entire capacity, thus becoming full.
  Customers running into the problem of excessive database growth
  on tablespace "TPCTBSPPM" (ID "4") will see inhibited TPC
  functionality, particularly, an inability to retrieve and see
  performance data in TPC GUI.
  To diagnose this problem, check whether the db2diag.log contains
  the following messages:

  MESSAGE : ADM6044E The DMS table space "TPCTBSPPM" (ID "4") is
  full.

Local fix

• Contact IBM Support for steps to clean up and reattempt the
  upgrade.
  

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * TPCTBSPPM reaches its regular tablespace limit and this will *
  * prevent TPC from collecting PM data or and transation which  *
  * inserting data in the database.                              *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * Apply fix maintenance when available.  Prior to applying the *
  * fix, you can reduce the amount of detailed SVC sample data   *
  * to 7 days and purge the expired data from PM STAR tables.    *
  ****************************************************************
  

Problem conclusion

• The sample expiration and purging will be updated.  Automatic
  recovery will occur within 7 days.  The fix for this APAR is
  targeted for the following maintenance package:
