IT07436: ABEND OCCURS WITH SERVICE/USER TRACING ON WITH ASBITSTREAM

Error description

• When using a select statement in ESQL that contains a call to
  asbitstream, an abend occurs if either service or user trace is
  on. The stack would look similar to the following:
  
  ImbRdl asLogString@SqlExpressionNode
  ImbRdl logToString@SqlCallableFunctionFnCal
  ImbRdl asLogString@SqlExpressionNode
  ImbRdl logToString@SqlRowConstructorBase
  ImbRdl asLogString@SqlExpressionNode
  ImbRdl logToString@SqlSelectExpression
  ImbRdl asLogString@SqlExpressionNode
  ImbRdl logToString@SqlAssignment
  
  The ESQL being called would look like this:
  select(asbitstream(message) from .....
  

Local fix

• Avoid calling the asbitream inside a select statement when using
  user or service trace.
  Call the asbitream into a BLOB and then pass the BLOB into the
  select statement.

Problem conclusion

• The product no longer abends if user/service tracing is on and
  the ASBITSTREAM function is called within a select statement.
