APAR status

Error description

• Restoring a primary storage pool from an Active Data Pool (ADP)
  fails. The following errors are seen in the server activity log:
  
  ANR9999D_2732320499 UpdateCachedList(afcputil.c:7161)
  Thread<48>: Error 1101 obtaining aliases for bitfile xxxx
  ANR9999D_2569878844
  AfProcessInactiveBitfileList(afcputil.c:3404) Thread<48>: Error
  9979 updating cached list for  bfId=xxxx
  
  This problem occurs when all files in the aggregate are inactive
  in the ADP.
  
  
  Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:
  Tivoli Storage Manager server V6 and V7
  
  Customer/L2 Diagnostics (If Applicable)
  In order to determine if all files in the aggregate are
  inactive, issue server command:
  show bfo <bfid>
  
  Where <bfid> is the bitfile shown in the error message. For
  example, the output will look similar to this:
  
  show bfo 213692555
  
  Bitfile Object: 213692555
  **Super-bitfile 213692555 contains following aggregated
  bitfiles,
  Bitfile Id, offset, length, active state or owner, link bfid

Local fix

• Run the following command from Tivoli Storage Manager admin
  command line to delete the problematic bitfile:
  delete bitfile <ADP storage pool name> <aggregate bfid>
  
  This problem can repeat if there are other aggregates with only
  inactive bitfiles. If the problem persists and occurs on many
  different aggregates, contact support for a code fix.
