Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM Integration Bus Version 9.0 who would like to
    use one of the following characters in a channel container name
    when specifying the response message parsing option on a
    CICSRequest node: $ @ # / % & ? ! : | " = , ; > . - _

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The CICSRequest node only allows alphanumeric (a-z, A-Z, 0-9)
    characters be used in a channel container name.

Problem conclusion

  • The product now allows all characters documented in the CICS TS
    API reference as valid to be used in a channel container name.

    The acceptable characters are a-z, A-Z, 0-9 $ @ # / % & ? ! : |
    " = , ; > . - _
    If containers are to be shipped between regions, only a-z, A-Z,
    0-9 & : = , ; > . - _ should be used.
