IT05019: CTDX1103E ERROR AFTER ADDING GLOBAL OBJECT TO DFDL SCHEMA

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If a DFDL schema contains any xsd:annotation tags before any
  xsd:import or xsd:includes tags, any messages, global elements,
  global types, or global groups added to the schema in the DFDL
  editor will result in validation errors in the Problems view of
  the toolkit on the DFDL schema.
  
  Example error message:
  
  CTDX1103E : XSD: The element
  'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#import' is not permitted as
  constrained by 'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#schema_._type';
  expecting attributeGroup | group | complexType | simpleType |
  notation | attribute | element | annotation | nothing
  

Local fix

• Open the DFDL schema in a text editor, and manually move any
  xsd:import or xsd:include tags to the top of the schema under
  the opening xsd:schema tag.
  

Problem summary

  All users of IBM Integration Toolkit V9.0 who have DFDL schemas
  containing xsd:annotation tags before any xsd:import or
  xsd:includes tags.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  If a DFDL schema contains any xsd:annotation tags before any
  xsd:import or xsd:includes tags, any messages, global elements,
  global types, or global groups added to the schema in the DFDL
  editor will end up before one or more of the xsd:import or
  xsd:include tags in the DFDL schema. This results in an invalid
  DFDL schema.
  

Problem conclusion

• The DFDL editor has been updated to add new messages, global
  elements, global types, and global groups after all of the
  xsd:import and xsd:include tags in a DFDL schema.
