APAR status

Error description

  • An Assert Warning message of the following form may be seen in
    the online log during start up of the primary server in an HDR
    pair when a fail-over to the secondary has occurred followed by
    another fail-over back to the original primary:
    
    17:08:57  Assert Warning: Error trying to free extent.  Chunk 2,
    Page offset 29535, Number of pages 11984
    
    The accompanying AF file includes this stack for the thread
    "defragclean"

    This situation may arise when a table or partition defragment
    operation is interrupted by the shutdown of the server. The
    table or partition on the server where the AF arises becomes
    unusable and further partitions in the same dbspace may also be
    affected. The same partitions on the other server are unaffected
    by this problem.
