APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Brocade has added a new OUI value which is not recognized by
  TPC.  Because of this information for these switches and their
  fabrics is not collected as expected resulting in functional
  limitations.  This problem may be encountered with TPC or IBM
  System Director and VMcontrol.  Here are some sample errors that
  can be seen with TPC or VMcontrol.  These errors occur when
  there is a Brocade CIMOM agent already configured and monitoring
  the switches.
  The following samples of messaging may be found in the IBM
  System Director (VMcontrol) error-log-0.html:
  INFO Unable to start zoning transaction for fabricID:
  100050EB1Axxxxxx
  com.ibm.tpc.common.api.TPCServerException: BTAFM4501E No agent
  is available to configure the zoning on the fabric with ID
  100050EB1Axxxxxx
  Failed to start transaction on fabric 100050EB1Axxxxxx. Check
  connection to switch(es)
  The following error may show up in TPC msgTPCDeviceServer.log:
  BTAFM4501E No agent is available to configure the zoning on the
  fabric with ID 100050EB1Axxxxxx.
  com.ibm.tpc.fabric.FabricManagerService startTransaction
  The following error may show up in the TPC
  msgprobeFabric.xxxxxxx.log
  if a Fabric contains switches with both known and unknown OUI
  values:
  BTADS0083W Some or all information may not be collected for
  fabric/fabrics since agent/agents are not configured and/or not
  currently operational. Fabric probe for fabric 10000027F80XXXXXX
  has some limitations. For switch 100050EB1AXXXXXX following the
  information will not be collected - Active Zone Configuration
   Information, Full Zone Database Information.
  

Local fix

• Log into server with db2admin or db2inst1 (or equivalent,
  depending on platform)
  connect to TPCDB
  db2 connect to TPCDB
  db2 set schema tpc
  db2 "insert into T_RES_OUI values ('50EB1A','Brocade')"
  Initiate Fabric discovery in TPC or (VMcontrol Farm and Switch
  inventory)
