APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When trying to start IBM Integration Toolkit V9.0, either
nothing happens or an error is thrown indicating 'MSVCP100.dll'
not found.

Local fix

  • Look for the MS_VCredist_2010SP1 folder on the runtime disk
image and run the vcredist_x86.exe to install on the system.
When the setup is done, try starting the toolkit workspace again
with mb.exe.

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Toolkit V9.0 who have the Microsoft
Visual C++ 2010 SP1 64bit Redistributable installed on the
system instead of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 32bit
Redistributable.


Platforms affected:
Windows on x86 platform, Windows on x86-64 platform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If your system has the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 64bit
Redistributable installed, the IBM Integration Toolkit V9.0
installation will skip the installation of the Microsoft Visual
C++ 2010 SP1 32bit Redistributable. This causes the start up of
the toolkit to fail with mb.exe and the mqsi executable under
the toolkit directory.

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been updated to install the Microsoft Visual C++
2010 SP1 32bit Redistributable when the 64bit version is already
installed.
