Error description

  • After changing a schema used by a map input/output, the map
    editor indicates an unresolved connection. However, there is no
    corresponding error marker in the Problems view.
    The problem is caused by an exception when building the map.

    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit V8.0 or IBM
    Integration Toolkit V9.0 with Graphical Data Maps that reference
    an XSD schema that has become unavailable.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    A Graphical Data Map referencing an XSD schema that has become
    unavailable should display errors in the Toolkit flagging any
    transforms that are now unconnected due to the missing input or
    outputs to enable you to know to remove these or restore the XSD
    schema. However in some situations a null pointer exception can
    occur causing the Toolkit map validation to terminate, and
    therefore no errors will be flagged. In this case if the map is
    deployed it will fail in the runtime reporting the unresolved
    XSD schema.

Problem conclusion

  • The Toolkit has been corrected so that it will flag errors when
    a map-referenced XSD schema becomes unavailable.
