IO19506: AD PASSWORD PLUGIN CANNOT CONNECT TO PROXY EVEN AFTER 15 ATTEMPT
Closed as program error.
Description: We have TDI 7.0 fixpack 7 installed and configured properly. Often times, when the server is patched and rebooted the plugin.log as seen in the attached log. This is not noticed right away and then the users change passwords and TAM is unaware and out of sync. Steps to Duplicate: The customer experiences this after applying Windows patches and rebooting the server. Desired Behavior: The customer would like to ensure that the TDI Password Plugin functions properly so that the AD and TAM passwords remain in sync. Environment: TDI 7.0 FP 7
AD Password plugin is not able to load because of proxy unable to start and it retry for only 15 iteration. so now TDI is providing the new parameter that will be added in windows\pwsync.props file where user can specify number of retry to proxy start. set following property in <TDI_Install_Dir>\pwd_plugins\windows\pwsync.props # Number of Attempt to retry Proxy connection ProxyRetryAttempt=15 Default value would be 15, you can specify any value there till short int limitation.
This is bug in TDI code and has been fixed, formal fix will be made available in 7.0.0-TIV-TDI-FP0009.
