Error description

  • Custom jar issue

When a custom connector is published to the tdi-install/packages
directory, it can be "seen" in the list of components but then
    will fail
during execution with the following error:

    2012-11-12 18:20:02,291 ERROR
    [AssemblyLine.AssemblyLines/getFiles.1] -

    CTGDIS025E Exception while loading configuration:
    java.lang.Exception:
[FileScanConnector] CTGDIS497W Cannot find the java class for
fileScan:/Connectors/FileScan Connector. The jar file may be
    corrupted,
or a file may have been deleted....

    STEPS TO DUPLICATE:

    Create a custom connector
    Right click and publish.
    Save the file in tdi-install/packages.
    Stop and start ce again
Create a new al and add the new component
    Run

    DESIRED BEHAVIOR:

Packages are read from the install directory

    ENVIRONMENT: 7.0, 7.1, 7.1.1

Local fix

Problem summary

  • As the config editor allows the user to publish to installdir /
packages, the server should also look there for packaged
    components.

Problem conclusion

  • This is a bug in the TDI code and a formal fix would be made
    available in 7.1.1-TIV-TDI-FP0003.
