When using the web admin to manage replication topology and if you have a master/master set up; you add a replica to one of the masters, the web admin will configure a replication agreement from each master to that replica. But if you remove the replica, from one master it does not get removed from both sides. Steps to reproduce:: - configure Master-Master (peer) replication topology. - Add a replica to one of the peers. (it will automatically be added to all peers). - Delete the replica from one of the peers. The agreement will be deleted from the one peer but will remain configured on all other peers.
No known work around.
This is actually working as designed in order to allow the configuration of complex, asymmetrical replication topologies. Since it takes a lot of work to define a new agreement, and normally you would want it applied to all the suppliers in a peer-group, this was the default behavior for adding. But since it only takes a few clicks to remove an agreement, and you may need to remove it from some but not all suppliers, it was decided not to automatically remove from all. The fix is to add Message ID GLPWRM9838W to explain that this operation will only delete this single agreement from the selected supplier and any agreements from other suppliers need to be deleted separately before the consumer can safely be removed from the topology.
