Server may crash (ABEND) performing searches with following thread dump in core file: #0 [addr] in free () ... #1 [addr] in ava_free () ... #2 [addr] in filter_free () ... #3 [addr] in filter_free () ... #4 [addr] in do_search () ... etc

Problem summary
Recursive calls to filter_free() could result in a double-free (attempting to free the same address more than once). Additional checking has been added to prevent this.
